Touch Key Controls

Immobiliser
The immobiliser will ARM automatically within 30 seconds after the system is DISARMED if the ignition is not turned ON or when the ignition of the vehicle is turned OFF.
The immobiliser LED will flash constantly when the immobiliser is ARMED and will be OFF when the immobiliser is DISARMED. The vehicle can not be started if the immobiliser is ARMED.
To DISARM the immobiliser place the touch key control into the dash mounted touch key receptacle (the ignition key may be ON or OFF). The immobiliser LED will now be OFF and the vehicle can be started.
Secret PIN Code and "One" event override
Ensure that you have received your Secret PIN Code card and that the secret 5-digit code is still covered by a scratch removable surface. If the PIN code has been compromised, do not accept the installation that has been done. The secret code is used to add and remove Touch Key controls to your system and to start the vehicle in the event a Touch Key control ceases to function. Utilise the ignition key and the LED to key in your secret PIN code to start the vehicle.
1. Procedure for "One" event over-ride
Requires the ignition switch to key in your secret 5-digit code (e.g. 1, 3, 5, 7, 9).
1.1. Vehicle needs to be immobilised (Unable to start) (LED flashing slowly)
1.2. Turn ignition ON. The LED will turn ON continuously (Steady) for 2 seconds and then flash 5 times.
1.3. The LED will turn ON continuously (Steady) for 2 seconds again. During these 2 seconds turn ignition OFF and count 1 LED flash, then turn ignition ON (first digit of 1 entered).
1.4. Turn ignition OFF and count 3 LED flashes again, then turn ignition ON (second digit of 3 entered).
1.5. Turn ignition OFF and count 5 LED flashes again, then turn ignition ON (third digit of 5 entered).
1.6. Turn ignition OFF and count 7 LED flashes again, then turn ignition ON (fourth digit of 7 entered).
1.7. Turn ignition OFF and count 9 LED flashes again, then turn ignition ON (fifth digit of 9 entered).
1.8. Over-ride mode has now been entered, which is confirmed by 5 fast flashes of the LED (1 chirp of the horn, 1 flash of the hazards if fitted with AT180).
1.9. To start the vehicle, turn ignition OFF and then start vehicle as per normal operation. If no action is taken within 30 seconds the immobiliser will ARM and the over-ride procedure will have to be repeated.
1.10. Replace the numbers 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 in the example above with your secret numbers when entering your code.
2. Addition of New Touch Key controls
New touch key controls can be added to the system with the secret 5-digit override code, one of the existing Touch Key controls and the digits 1 and 4.
2.1. Follow the procedure for "One" event override, procedures 1.1. to 1.8.
2.2. Over-ride mode has now been entered as in procedure 1.8 (confirmed by 5 fast flashes of the LED (1 chirp of the horn, 1 flash of the hazards if fitted with AT180).
2.3. Wait with ignition ON, after 5 seconds the LED will turn ON continuously (Steady) for 2 seconds and then flash 5 times.
2.4. The LED will turn ON continuously (Steady) for 2 seconds again. During these 2 seconds turn ignition OFF and count 1 LED flash, then turn ignition ON (first digit of 1 entered).
2.5. Turn ignition OFF and count 4 LED flashes again, then turn ignition ON (second digit of 4 entered).
2.6. The system will respond with 3 fast flashes of the LED (1 chirp of the horn, 1 flash of the hazards if fitted with AT180).
2.7. Place one of the current Touch Key controls into the dash-mounted receptacle. The system will respond with 5 fast flashes of the LED (2 chirps of the horn, 1 flash of the hazards if fitted with AT180).
2.8. Place one of the new Touch Key controls to be added into the dash-mounted receptacle. The system will respond with 3 fast flashes of the LED (3 chirps of the horn, 1 flash of the hazards if fitted with AT180).
2.9. Place the new Touch Key control into the dash-mounted receptacle again to confirm. The system will respond with 3 fast flashes of the LED (3 chirps of the horn, 1 flash of the hazards if fitted with AT180).
2.10. Turn ignition OFF to confirm the last setting that was chosen, the system will respond with 2 fast flashes of the LED (2 chirps of the horn, 1 flash of the hazards if fitted with AT180).
2.11. If at any stage of the process no action is taken for more than 10 seconds, then a time-out will occur and no updates will be done, requiring a start from the beginning. The system will respond with 1 flash of the LED (1 chirp of the horn, 1 flash of the hazards if fitted with AT180).
Vehicle Recovery System (AT180 ONLY)
The vehicle recovery system is used to immobilise the vehicle after a car-jacking has occurred.
The vehicle recovery system becomes active after it has been programmed in. Depending on the installation option, the recovery system will be triggered if the driver’s door or any door is opened. To deactivate the recovery system in any phase, press the hidden switch for 1 second.
Phase One (Silent phase)
System triggered: Once the system is triggered the Touch Key controls will stop functioning. One minute of silent operation will follow. To deactivate, press the hidden switch for 1 second.
Phase Two (Warning phase)
After the silent phase, 2 chirps of the horn every 5 seconds, repeated 3 times, will warn the driver that the vehicle recovery system has been triggered. To deactivate, press the hidden switch for 1 second.
Phase Three
After the warning phase, the siren and hazard lights will be activated. To deactivate, press the hidden switch for 1 second.
Phase Four
After 15 seconds of the siren and hazard lights being activated the system will start the shut down sequence. The system will ARM the immobiliser within the next minute and therefore cut out the engine. To deactivate, press the hidden switch for 1 second.
Vehicle Recovery System Valet Mode
The vehicle recovery system can be placed in valet mode for vehicle services and valets to ensure that hidden switch location need not be revealed to service and valet centres.
To place in valet mode:
Turn the ignition ON. Place the Touch Key control into the dash-mounted receptacle to DISARM the immobiliser. Hold the hidden switch and then place the Touch Key control into the dash-mounted receptacle. The system will chirp 3 times and flash once. Remove the Touch Key control from the dash-mounted receptacle, but continue to hold the hidden switch for 8 seconds until system chirps 2 times and flashes once.
To remove valet mode:
Turn the ignition ON. Place the Touch Key control into the dash-mounted receptacle to DISARM the immobiliser. Hold the hidden switch and then place the Touch Key control into the dash-mounted receptacle. The system will chirp 3 times and flash once. Remove the Touch Key control from the dash-mounted receptacle and release the hidden switch. After 8 seconds the system will chirp once and flash once.
